            The Kirkland & District Community Development Corporation (KDCDC) is a not-for-profit organization governed by a local volunteer Board of Directors. With financial support from Canada’s Community Futures Program, we are mandated to foster community and business growth through business counselling and investment, and community economic development initiatives.

            The Board of Directors is seeking to hire an Executive Director with the following qualifications and assets:

Qualifications:

  • Post secondary degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Management and/or small business experience
  • Knowledge of relevant Government assistance programs
  • Financial administration skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • An understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing rural communities
  • Ability to establish and maintain accurate cashflow projections
  • Possesses strong skills in personally managing and overseeing the work of others

Assets:

  • Experience with commercial credit and financial instruments
  • Providing financial advice to small business owners
  • Experience in community planning and community economic development
  • Experience in working with a volunteer Board of Directors

Salary Range:  $70,000 to $95,000 annually, commensurate on experience. 

The successful applicant must have a valid drivers licence.
