Huron County is traditionally known for its strong agricultural sector but one new technological business is changing this perception.  Vital Imagery Ltd. runs the website iclipart.com, which provides royalty free clipart to customers over the internet.   The images are used for personal and small business use; however, more recently they have signed contracts with international companies:  Warner Brothers (used in the movie "The Hangover"); State of Iowa Education System (clip art to be used in all of its schools); and Microsoft (iclipart.com will be the principal supplier of clip art to Microsoft’s online design gallery – a free tool for users of Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, etc.). 

Charlie and Allison Hoy started Vital Imagery Ltd. in 2006 with the goal of providing high quality, royalty-free clipart to customers.  The fact that their clip art is royalty free and does not include any additional royalty costs is a major draw as it eliminates any worry about royalty issues many customers may have.  iclipart.com currently has nearly 8 million images available and 4.5 million downloads of these clip art images have been made.  Their large number of downloads is partially due to the assistance of the Huron Business Development Corporation, which helped Vital Imagery Ltd. in 2008.
