Harrowsmith, ON - Ryan Seeds, Chair of the Frontenac Community Futures Development Corporation, is pleased to announce that the organization, together with the County of Frontenac, will be creating a comprehensive on-line directory of local businesses.  This business database will enable companies to:  promote products and services, free of charge in and to the region; learn of other local suppliers; and, potentially, learn of opportunities to expand their business.  Residents of the Frontenacs will also benefit by utilizing the directory as a supply source.  This project is being made possible through the support of Human Resource Skills Department’s (HRSD) Job Creation Partnership Program.
“During our community strategic planning sessions earlier this year, participants asked for a business directory”, said Ryan Seeds.  “We are pleased to have received the support of HRSD to implement this project”.
With the lead organizers Frontenac CFDC and the County of Frontenac, partner groups that will be involved in implementing this program include:  Land O’Lakes Communications Network; Kingston District Information Centre; the Land O’Lakes Tourist Association; as well as the Wolfe Island Business and Tourism Association.
County of Frontenac businesses wishing to participate in this opportunity to promote their business free of charge, may obtain a copy of the survey on our website:  www.frontenaccfdc.com or by calling (613) 372-1414 x 203.
